SERDANG – The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FPV) of Universiti Putra Malaysia was overjoyed today when they received a donation of an MPV car for the benefit of the faculty's students. This is the contribution by Dr. Ling Tung King, a 1983 alumni of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

The concession was made by Dr. Ling himself to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) of UPM, Prof. Dr. Nazamid Saari and also witnessed by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UPM, Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohd Azmi Mohd Lila.

Nearly 20 alumni from the class of 1983, who left the campus about 40 years ago, returned to their alma mater for the Hi Tea ceremony that was held in the Seminar Room, FPV, with the common intention of developing as a group and returning to the university.

Dr. Ling, on the other hand, returned to UPM today, despite the fact that his wish had been postponed for nearly two years owing to unavoidable circumstances.

He, who lives in Sarawak, also made donations to the Bintulu campus in order to promote a sense of loyalty among the alumni.

"Donations can be inspired in a variety of ways and forms." Don't be bound solely by money. Everything that will assist students and the University will continue to be given; ideally, this will help the alumni enhance their affiliation with the University. One of the most crucial is the exchange of knowledge and experience, especially in the veterinary sector, where many people are unaware of how broad this area is and the different jobs and business prospects available. "Alumni who have demonstrated success in this field can share knowledge and experience with today's students to inspire them to continue to succeed," he remarked during the vehicle handover ceremony.

The Alumni Relations Center serves as a bridge between alumni and the alma mater. The Alumni Relations Center at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in particular, applauds FPV's efforts to bring alumni back to their alma mater while also being able to update alumni's personal data in the Alumni Information System (AIS) run by the UPM Alumni Relations Center.
