SERDANG – Alumni Relations Centre Universiti Putra Malaysia (ARCUPM) joined the Al-Falah Bakul Rahmah Aid Mission at Kota Tinggi, Johor on 8 to 9 March 2023.

This aid mission is a collaboration between the University Islamic Centre, Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN), Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM), Student Affairs Division (BHEP), Pendeta Za’ba College, PUTRA International Centre (i-PUTRA), and Student Council Representatives (MPP). 46 volunteers including staff and students had joined the flood aid mission.  

The mission’s main focus is to lift the flood victims’ burden in ways of cleaning the house and residence areas and distributing Bakul Rahmah contributions to the affected victims, as well as to demonstrate a symbol of solidarity to the victims.

UPM volunteer departed at 11.30 pm from UPM to Kampung Kelantan, Kota Tinggi, Johor, and safely arrived at 4.30 am. The cleaning mission started at 8.00 am and ended at 3.00 pm. It is hoped the presence of the volunteers will inject new spirit into the flood victims and proved that Malaysia Madani is infused into the society.

It is greatly hoped the spirit of solidarity will continue to nourish within UPM community in providing aid to those in need. Alumni Relations Centre would like to thank all UPM alumni for every contribution given to the flood victims.
