YPR Short Term Research Grant

Introduction

Short Term Research Grant was created to encourage young lecturers involve in research and development research at UPM. The YPR allocates an initial RM20,000 to be distributed to two (2) new lecturers in UPM and fulfilling research for a period of 12 months. The focus areas in this scheme are agriculture and related fields such as Farming, Forestry, Fishery, Food, Agricultural Technology, Social Science, Farmer Community Welfare and etc.

Selection and Eligibility Criteria

Every application for the YPR Research Grant must meet the following criteria:-

The grants are open to academicians serving less than 3 years from the date of their appointment in UPM.
The grant is open to researchers who have never received any research grant.
The amount that can be applied is a maximum of RM10,000.
The proposed research period is 12 months.
Each application is required to establish a networking with the industry/ community of farmers who will get benefit from the proposed research findings.
