MEKAR Series 17: Kolej Pertanian Malaya 1971 (KPM 71) Golden Jubilee Celebration

Program Menggamit Seribu Kenangan Alumni Reunion (MEKAR): The Celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the Malayan Agricultural College is an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the UPM alumni group in the current year. The program was initiated by ARCUPM for the Malayan Agricultural College 1972 (KPM 72) from July 4-6, 2022, at Universiti Putra Malaysia, subsequently increasing contributions to the Sultan Idris Shah Endowment Fund (TESIS). The event continues in 2023, celebrating the KPM 73 alumni through the 12th series of the MEKAR program.

Given the vibrancy of the celebrations for the KPM 72 and KPM 73 alumni, representatives of the KPM 71 alumni express their desire to resume their Golden Jubilee Celebration, which was postponed in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Zaitun Mohd. Yassin, the representative of the Malayan Agricultural College 1971 alumni, has strengthened strategic ties with the KPM 71 alumni to plan the implementation of the program to achieve the set goals.

In connection with this, the implementation of this program is hoped to be a catalyst for fostering strong bonds among the KPM 71 alumni and, at the same time, continue to provide opportunities for contributions to their alma mater.
