UPM ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AND CHAPTER YOSH HAND OVER DAPUR MADANI CONTRIBUTIONS FOR RAMADAN 1447H

By: Ahmad Amirul

Serdang, 11 February 2026 – The Dapur Madani Contribution Programme for Ramadan 1447H was successfully held, organised by the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Alumni Association and Chapter Yosh, in collaboration with MyFundAction. The programme aims to assist UPM students in need and ease their burden during the holy month of Ramadan.

The UPM Alumni Association contributed a total of RM7,500, with RM6,000 allocated for purchasing goods from Syarikat Faiza, now led by the founder’s child, who is also a UPM alumnus. The remaining RM1,500 was used to purchase eggs from UPM’s Faculty of Agriculture. Chapter Yosh also supported the initiative with in-kind contributions of Ready-To-Eat (RTE) meals and dried food worth RM7,000, ensuring that the aid provided is comprehensive and meets the students’ needs.

All contributions were distributed to three UPM residential colleges: Kolej Canselor (KC), Kolej Tan Sri Aishah Ghani (KTAG), and Kolej Pendeta Za’ba (KPZ). The handover ceremony was attended by college representatives, including Ts. Dr. Syed Agil Shekh Alsagoff (KC Warden), Ms. Siti Noriza Samad (KTAG Representative), and Ms. Nur Adilah Zahidin (KPZ Representative). The event was also graced by the UPM Alumni Association President, En. Mohd Norashedy Ab Rashid, and the Director of the Alumni Relations Centre, En. Fahmi Azar Mistar.

The programme not only provides essential food assistance but also demonstrates that UPM alumni are deeply committed to the welfare of students and actively support the university community. This initiative is expected to alleviate students’ daily needs, foster a sense of unity on campus, and strengthen the bond between alumni and current students.

With ongoing support from alumni and strategic partners like Chapter Yosh, Dapur Madani continues to serve as an important platform to reinforce values of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility among the university community.
