SERDANG, 27 April – The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) has announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) from 25 April 2022 to 25 April 2025.   

His appointment is succeeded by Prof. Dr. Iqbal Saripan, who ended his term of appointment on 14 February 2022.  

He has served UPM for 22 years and has been appointed to various positions such as the Head of Department, Department of Professional Development and Continuing Education in 2008, Deputy Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Faculty of Educational Studies between 2012-2013 and 2017-2022 

He then was appointed as the Director of the Institute of Social Science Studies (IPSAS) UPM from 2020 to 2022.

Alumni Relations Centre UPM congratulates Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail upon the appointment.
