Serdang, 16 February 2026 – The officiating ceremony of the Jiwa Batik: Keris Art Exhibition was successfully held at the Muzium Warisan Melayu, Fakulti Bahasa Moden dan Komunikasi UPM.

The exhibition was officially launched by Hazlina Abdul Halim, Dean of the Faculty and an alumna from the Class of 2011. She emphasised the importance of elevating batik art and Malay heritage as invaluable cultural treasures that must be preserved.

The artworks featured were created by Mohd Isnain Ali, a UPM alumnus from the Classes of 2006 and 2008, highlighting the keris as a symbol of identity and cultural strength. The exhibition was organised with the cooperation of the museum coordinator, Encik Rohimmi Noor.

Also present were the Director of the Pusat Perhubungan Alumni Universiti Putra Malaysia (ARCUPM), Encik Fahmi Azar Mistar, collaborators and visitors. The exhibition reflects the university’s commitment to promoting art and heritage as platforms for education and inspiration for present and future generations.
