SERDANG – Alumni Relations Centre held a Malaysia Book of Records certificate handing over session to Prof. Dr. Roslan Sulaiman, Universiti Putra Malaysia Vice Chancellor.
Among those who attend were Alumni Relations Centre UPM (ARCUPM) Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arba'ie Sujud, ARCUPM Deputy Director, Fahmi Azar Mistar and Aida Fitri Peli, ARCUPM Executive Officer who is also the Head of Alumni Binding and Strengthening Section.
Earlier on 6 August 2021, a virtual ceremony was held by The Malaysia Book of Records and the announcement of the award was made by MBOR Senior Record Consultant, Edwin Yeoh Teong Chin.
The five month programme which runs from February to July 2021, displayed a high commitment from UPM alumni and paved success when the program has initiate the funding of scholarships from the Selangor Chief Minister for UPM students.
The programme which was conducted in conjunction with the UPM 50 Years Golden Jubilee Celebrations (1971-2021) has created a new history for all UPM staff. The success of this programme is the result of the efforts and cooperation of all parties namely the university's top management, lecturers, senior officers, staff and students.
According to Fahmi Azar Mistar, ARCUPM Deputy Director, UPM Alumni Golden Fit has proven the spirit of cooperation among UPM staff including UPM alumni when the program is successfully recorded in The Malaysia Book of Records. It is more meaningful amid UPM 50 Years Golden Jubilee Celebrations (1971-2021).
A heartfelt appreciation to Universiti Putra Malaysia alumni and residents who successfully participated in this virtual fitness event. Congratulations to chapter Student Ambassador (CSA) and fellow organizers UPM Alumni Association and KDS Apparel for this success.
