Serdang, January 17th – The UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM) had the honour of welcoming a special visit from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) LUNAS, Kulim, Kedah, comprising 35 students and eight accompanying teachers. Making this visit even more meaningful was the presence of two SMK LUNAS teachers who are proud alumni of the Faculty of Educational Studies (FPP), UPM—Puan Rabiatul Alawiyah Bt Abd Aziz (Class of 1994) and Puan Rashidah Bt Othman (Class of 2010).

The visit aimed to introduce students to higher education opportunities, particularly at UPM. During an engaging sharing session, both alumni reflected on their unforgettable experiences at UPM, recounting their academic and career journeys while highlighting the university’s role in shaping their success and character. Their stories served as an inspiration, offering students a glimpse into the possibilities that await them in higher education.

Students also had the opportunity to learn about the role of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre, which serves as a vital bridge between graduates and their alma mater. The centre plays an essential role in strengthening alumni networks, managing educational funds and contributions, and organising student development programmes that foster a strong sense of belonging and lifelong learning.

This visit not only broadened the students’ aspirations but also reinforced the importance of academic excellence and perseverance in pursuing their dreams at esteemed institutions like UPM. A heartfelt appreciation goes out to the dedicated teachers who continue to inspire and guide the younger generation by sharing their journeys of success.
