SERDANG, 1st August – The Feast and Ukhuwah Night marked the highlight of the first day of the 5th Ex-UPM Reunion 2026, bringing together more than 150 Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) alumni at Pendeta Za'ba College (College 9), UPM, in a celebration of friendship, shared memories and lifelong alumni engagement.

The evening commenced at 8.00 p.m. in a warm and convivial atmosphere as alumni from across Malaysia reunited after many years apart. The gathering provided a meaningful opportunity for former classmates to reconnect, exchange updates and reminisce about their university days, reaffirming the enduring bonds forged during their time at UPM.

Earlier in the day, participants attended a series of programmes, including registration, a tahlil prayer session in remembrance of departed alumni, an ice-breaking session, and an alumni engagement sharing session conducted by the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM). These activities fostered a strong sense of community while reinforcing the importance of sustained alumni involvement with the University.

The gala dinner featured a variety of cultural and commemorative highlights, including a traditional dikir barat performance and a special video presentation showcasing memorable moments from participants' years at UPM. The programme evoked a sense of nostalgia while celebrating the shared experiences that continue to unite generations of alumni.

The event also featured a presentation by Mr Aiman Fikri Mohd Aris Fadzillah, representative of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM), who shared updates on the University's alumni initiatives and highlighted the Centre's ongoing efforts to strengthen alumni engagement through strategic programmes, partnerships and lifelong networking opportunities.

Also in attendance were the Chairman of the 5th Ex-UPM Reunion 2026, Mr Azmi Othman, and Deputy Chairman, Mr Mohd Rafi, who expressed their appreciation to all alumni for their enthusiastic participation and continued commitment to preserving the spirit of friendship and solidarity within the Ex-UPM community.

The organising committee also extended its sincere appreciation to the UPM Alumni Relations Centre (ARCUPM), Pendeta Za'ba College, programme sponsors and all committee members whose dedication and collaborative efforts contributed significantly to the success of the event.

The 5th Ex-UPM Reunion 2026 reflects Universiti Putra Malaysia's commitment to nurturing lasting relationships with its alumni and strengthening an active alumni network that continues to support the University's aspirations. Beyond rekindling cherished memories, the reunion serves as a valuable platform for fostering professional collaboration, lifelong friendships and a shared sense of belonging within the UPM community.
