Serdang, October 11 – A group of 72 alumni from the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Indonesia Chapter visited the UPM campus in Serdang. The visit was organized to further strengthen the bond between the alumni and the university while providing them with the opportunity to explore the latest developments on campus.
The visit commenced at 8:30 AM at the Graduate School, where the alumni were warmly welcomed by the staff of the Graduate School and Associate Prof. Dr. Aqlima, Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre. At 10:00 AM, the delegation was taken on a tour of the International Centre (i-Putra), where they were greeted by Dr. Mokhrish Ajat, Deputy Director of the Alumni Relations Centre, along with the i-Putra team. During this session, the alumni participated in a symbolic tree planting ceremony, representing the strong bond between the Indonesia alumni and UPM.
At 11:30 AM, the group visited the Sultan Abdul Samad Library at UPM, where they were introduced to the latest digital-focused facilities and innovations. Following the tour, the alumni gathered for a delightful luncheon at the Foyer of the Serdang Briefing Hall, providing a chance for them to reconnect, share experiences, and strengthen friendships.
This visit not only reinforced the relationship between the alumni and their alma mater but also showcased UPM’s latest advancements, further solidifying the connection between alumni and the university in a friendly and meaningful atmosphere.
