SERDANG, 3 Feb – Alumni Relations Centre UPM (ARCUPM) is always committed to finding and working towards the establishment of a scholarship fund and financial assistance for Universiti Putra Malaysia students. This initiative is taken so that no students are left behind due to being financially incapacity.
Financial constraints among students are an important agenda that needs to be concerned by the university and alumni. Recognising the role and responsibility, ARCUPM is committed to being the liaison between alumni and the university so that they are able to cater to the students in need.
Following that, Tabung Endowmen Sultan Idris Shah (TESIS) was established as an endowment for a scholarship programme given to eligible excel B40 students.
Yayasan Pak Rashid focuses on agricultural-based students, whereas TESIS is open to all first-semester students 2023/2024 session at the bachelor level from all disciplines.
TESIS recipients must be active in their co-curricular activities and have added values in entrepreneurship, leadership of volunteerism. This is in line with the UPM Strategic Plan 2021-2025 first goal, to produce resilient graduate character in facing the challenges.
